DIY Training runs short, practical workshops at Redhouse Farm, Withernsea, for homeowners and beginners who want to do the work themselves. You will fit pipework, plaster real walls and learn the basics of home electrics, taught by an instructor with over 40 years' experience in the trades.
Classes are limited to 6 people, so you get proper time with the tools and direct feedback. All tools and materials are supplied for the training, and tea and coffee are provided.
Our Plumbing: Bathroom Fitting course runs over 3 days. Plastering is available as a 3-day course, or a 5-day option that includes boarding. DIY Electrics is a half-day evening session, 6pm to 9pm, covering safe electrical basics at home.
We welcome learners from Withernsea, Hornsea, Hull, Beverley, Bridlington and across East Yorkshire. Upcoming dates: DIY Electrics on Monday 23 November 2026, Plumbing from Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 December 2026, and the 3-day Plastering course from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 January 2027. Dates for the 5-day Plastering option are to be confirmed, so register your interest and we will let you know as soon as they are announced.
Plumbing: Bathroom Fitting and Plastering are £115 per day, so each 3-day course comes to £345. DIY Electrics is £50 per session. The workshop is at Redhouse Farm, Withernsea HU19 2BX, and you can read about courses near Hull, Hornsea and Beverley.
